At Aurax, we believe technology has a clear purpose: to break barriers and improve people’s lives. That’s why receiving recognition from ISS Spain at the second edition of the ISS Startup Awards – Connecting Through the Workplace is much more than an award: it is confirmation that we are moving in the right direction.
The event took place at ISS Spain’s headquarters in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), bringing together projects that are transforming the future of workplaces through social, environmental, and technological impact.
MouthX recognized for its social sustainability impact
Aurax was awarded the Most Innovative Workplace Initiative in Social Sustainability thanks to MouthX, our hands-free device that enables people with reduced mobility to control their mobile phone, computer, or tablet using tongue, jaw, and head movements.
MouthX connects via Bluetooth, is customized for each user through a dental scan, and has already been tested in a clinical trial at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona with people living with multiple sclerosis.
This recognition reinforces our mission: to prove that accessibility is not an add-on, but a real need that can transform how people work, communicate, and participate in society.
The jury also recognized Bubbl3s, awarded in the category Best Use of the Workplace to Promote Environmental Sustainability for its innovative air purification system using microalgae, which improves air quality without generating waste. Similarly, Calpech was honored as Best Technology Initiative linked to the Workplace thanks to its patented process that transforms agricultural waste into sustainable iron nanoparticles for use in industrial processes.
Although each initiative advances in different fields, all three share the same vision: demonstrating that innovation can transform the workplace. Whether it is protecting the environment, optimizing processes, or -like in our case- breaking barriers through digital accessibility, these projects reflect how technology can improve everyday life at work.
