We’re proud to share that Aurax has been recognized by L’Econòmic as one of Catalonia’s 10 most promising startups, selected by a jury of leading innovation, investment and tech experts.
Every year, this publication (part of El Punt Avui) gathers a panel to identify standout emerging companies across industries. This year’s list includes outstanding teams in biotech, AI, green energy, medical innovation and, among them, Aurax, with MouthX, our device designed for hands-free digital control.
But this isn’t just a badge of honor for us. It's a signal that assistive technology is no longer a side topic, but a field with potential, purpose and relevance.

Aurax, Recognised for Turning Inclusive Innovation Into Reality
One of the key points the article makes is that investment is shifting. With geopolitical uncertainty and stricter criteria, investors are becoming more selective.
What stands out in 2025 is no longer hype, it’s real-world application, user validation, and mission-driven development. That’s exactly what Aurax brings to the table with our product.
As our founder Narcís Codina put it during the interview that was held for the piece:
"In uncertain times, capital tends to back initiatives that offer tangible value and solve real needs. That is precisely Aurax's value proposition."
A real project with people at the center
What makes Aurax different is not just the tech, it’s the reason behind it.
Born from a personal story and a real need, MouthX was initially created to offer hands-free access to digital life for Armando, one of our co-founders, who has reduced mobility.

Unlike traditional solutions, he wanted something discreet, wireless, and we also made sure that it was fully customized, and worked without relying on vision.
Our journey has been built step by step: from the first prototype tested by him, to months of clinical validation in focus groups, real-user feedback.
What’s next?
The recognition we have received from L’Econòmic is fuel. We’re not just building a product, we’re shaping a category where inclusion, usability and technology meet.
We want to thank the jury for including us, and to all the other startups mentioned: we're proud to be part of this generation of doers.
